Common questions
Clear answers about our products, natural latex behavior, care, and how to order.
Measurements are recorded in consistent units with contextual notes on conditions, material state, and tool setup.
Spots appear when moisture and microbial activity alter the latex surface, especially in humid Kerala conditions. They are a material condition rather than a defect in origin, and they are documented to understand provenance and storage behavior.
Store Growpouch in a shaded, ventilated place with gentle airflow to limit prolonged surface moisture. Avoid direct sun and standing water so the natural latex can breathe without degrading.
Natural latex is the sap harvested from the Hevea brasiliensis tree. At Gudgumz, we source our latex from the rubber belt of Kerala, India, and process it into utility products that retain 94–99% of the natural polymer's properties. It is a renewable, biodegradable material that differs significantly from synthetic petroleum-based rubbers.

Material spotting is a natural surface behavior of high-purity latex, appearing as small dark or light blooms. It occurs due to environmental interaction and moisture in the rubber belt's climate. These spots are aesthetic only and do not affect the structural integrity or utility of the product—they are a hallmark of material honesty.
